A Body-Mind-Heart-Soul Approach to Jewish Wisdom
With HaShem's Help
Torah Yoga® offers a unique approach to learning that integrates traditional Jewish texts with Iyengar yoga practice, allowing you to study with your body, mind, heart, and soul.
Torah - the ancient living wisdom of the Jewish people - has guided the Jewish people on their journey of light and holiness for thousands of years. When paired with the mindful movement of breath and yoga, its teachings come alive in a deeply personal way.
Torah Yoga® offers an experience of Jewish wisdom through the study of traditional and mystical Jewish texts integrated into the practice of Iyengar yoga. By studying with your whole self you acquire wisdom that inspires and guides your life.
This revolutionary book introduces you to the spiritual and mystical bones of traditional Judaism in a well-documented and entirely personal way. After 40 years of deep study and practice, Diane shares profound insights into the Hebrew language and Jewish spirituality.

Sfat Emet teaches that the words of Torah are engraved in the body of a person, but they are hidden and need to be discovered.
With Torah Yoga we weave traditional and mystical Jewish texts into a yoga practice to discover the hidden wisdom of Torah engraved within us. With Torah Yoga we not only talk and think Torah, we move and feel Torah.

Diane Bloomfield is the creator of Torah Yoga®. She has taught throughout Israel, Western Europe, and North America. She has lived in Jerusalem since 1984 and also spends time each year with her family in America.
Diane has spent many years learning and teaching Torah and Chassidut, both in yeshivas and privately. Her studies focus on the teachings of Chassidic Rebbe Sfat Emet, the visionary first Chief Rabbi of Israel Rav Kook, the Maharal, the Piaseczner, and others.
She currently studies in Jerusalem regularly with Rav Ben Yishai, Rabbanit Chagit Elran, and Rav and Scribe Dov Laimon.
Diane teaches weekly online Torah Yoga and Torah from Jerusalem classes in English. She also teaches a local Shabbat Shiur in English, and gives Divrei Torah at local Shabbat services in Hebrew. In the past, she taught the Torah Yoga Corner on Israel National Radio, a series of 7-minute Torah Yoga sessions.
Diane first studied Kripalu yoga and yoga teacher training at the Kripalu Institute in Massachusetts. She then practiced Bikram's yoga for over a decade, and became a Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist. She is now a certified Iyengar yoga instructor in Hebrew (or English) in Israel, and continues studying with senior Iyengar instructors.
The Torah Yoga® curriculum has been under development since 1990. Diane teaches regularly at the Isabella Freedman Jewish Retreat Center.
